My Priorities
For this next term I will ensure Métis Nation-Saskatchewan delivers services for you that are grounded in our Métis Identity, Culture, Values and Language.
Building on our success, I will prioritize:
- A Harvesting agreement with the Provincial government to protect our section 35 rights
- Resources to support our Métis Locals
- Settlement of our Northwest land claim
- World class partnerships with Industry to create access to capital, opportunities with major resources projects, jobs and opportunities
- Prevention Care through a Métis Child and Family Services program to promote long-term family stability and well-being
- Voices of Métis Elders & Veterans at our Government table
- A Mental Health & Addictions Treatment Center for Métis Citizens in partnership with the Provincial and Federal government
- Increased funding to support more Métis Post Secondary students
- Enhanced Health benefits for all Métis citizens, including prescriptions, medical transportation, and emergency supports for families in crisis
- More Housing dollars to support more new Métis homebuyers and renovations for elders and others with accessibility needs
- Distinctions based, planning and delivery of services and programs like day care for Métis Children
